About Us

The Mission

The mission at Amiya's Clubhouse is to provide quality child care that embraces children's innate desires to play and explore in natural and inclusive environments. Amiya's Clubhouse will support all children by providing a socially nurturing and physically inclusive environment that fosters early childhood development in all learning domains. Located in Boston, Amiya's Clubhouse will serve diverse families and their children, infants to five years old, introducing them to all the beautiful cultures that make up our community.

Children are naturally motivated to play. Within the walls of the center, I will use a play-based approach that involves both child-initiated and teacher-supported learning. The teachers will encourage learning and inquiry through interactions that aim to stretch their thinking to higher levels. First-hand experiences have proven to be most successful at motivating, stimulating, and supporting children in their development of skills, concepts, language acquisition, communication skills, and concentration. My play-based program will build on this motivation, using it as a context for learning. In this framework, children can explore, experiment, discover, and solve problems in imaginative and playful ways.

Amiya’s Club House will provide premier child care services that are aimed at enhancing traditional day care methodologies and integrating extracurricular interests such as arts; dance and theater. Physical activities; soccer, basketball, gymnastics, etc. STEM and so much more! So the vision for Amiya’s Clubhouse ... is to provide greatness for the children in my community.

The Philosophy

At Amiya’s Clubhouse we believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. We will assist our children to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well as embracing the differences of others. While in our care, we want children to learn what it means to be nice and kind to one another; having empathy, learning to say sorry, and sharing. Additionally, we teach children to have respect for not only themselves, but their parents and their classmates; being polite, making eye contact, saying good-morning, hello, and goodbye. Every classroom has their own unique community, and the role of a teacher will be to assist each child in developing their own potential and learning styles. They will present a curriculum that will incorporate each different learning style, as well as make the content relevant to the children's lives. The teachers will incorporate hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, themes and individualization that both engage and activate every child’s learning. Anyone can teach ABCs and change diapers; but at Amiya’s Clubhouse we strive to instill good morals, and make a positive and lasting difference in each childs’ life.
